With over 18.000 students, the Venezia Ca'Foscari University is located at the heart of the city, on the "Canale Grande" between Rialto and San Marco. Steadily oriented towards international activities, the university is composed of 4 faculties, of which the Economics and Management faculty. 600 permanent professors teach at the university and 150 teach at the Economics and Management faculty. Created in 1868, the Economics and Management faculty, then called Scuola Superiore di Commercio di Venezia, is the oldest Economics and Management Faculty in Italy. The Ca'Foscari Economics and Management faculty is especially famous for the Marketing and Finance areas. It offers "Laure Specialistiche" (Masters) that are renowned within the Italian Universities.
